Touchstream day one
Well, here is the quick review of my new
Touchsteam SP ( not the iGuesturePad
Salva was wondering about). I have had it less than a day now. so I might be more used to it later after the recommended weeks of getting familiar with it.
Gestures are great. Has to be my favorite feature. A swipe across and the window closes. A different swipe and and a new document opens. It's like having Opera powers everywhere. The paste gesture is a work of art.
Mousing is not so hot. I feel like I have less control than with a normal mouse. I could be just not used to it yet (In fact. while typing this, I found a better way to mouse).
Keyboard is different. I decided to learn touch typing yesterday, and so I am very slow. I think with time I'll like this keyboard. Right now I can't keep up with a AIM conversation.

I am curious, how does it know when you are typing and when you are using it as a mouse?

It’s got a bit of a brain inside. Two fingers moving around makes a mouse, a finger tapping is a key press. I not had it get mixed up so far.

Please keep posting your experiences! I am very interested, as I just ordered a Touchstream and am wondering if I’m really going to be able to learn to type on it. I am now thinking of exchanging it for the gesture pad. (I already know how to type, but typing on a flat surface with no tactile response seems almost impossible to me. I love using the gestures instead of a mouse, though.)

Okay, I’ll be posting more about it. The flat surface is kinda cool. Makes the key board seem more like a Alien Mind reader.

I was thinking of buying one of these, now that you’ve had it for a while how do you like it?
